Returns
Return Policy
- All returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee to cover the costs associated with processing a return. We are a small business, not a large corporation. Our return policy is not the same as Amazon or Costco, so please be mindful of this when making a purchase :)
- Returns are only considered within 30 days of purchase. Extensions are granted to orders with extended lead times.
- To start a return, log in to your customer account and submit a return request.
- You are welcome to contact us before sending anything back to have your questions answered.
Items Eligible for Return
Returned items must be:
- In original condition
- Unwashed and unworn
- Have all original tags attached
- Include original and intact packaging
Examples of items that are not eligible for return include (but are not limited to):
- Sleeping bags that have been slept in
- Sleeping pads that have been inflated
- Tents that have been set up
- Gear that shows visible signs of use
Refunds
- Refunds are issued at the discretion of Geartrade staff after the returned item has been inspected.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- A 10% Restocking Fee will be charged
Return Shipping & Exchanges
- Customers are responsible for all return and exchange shipping costs.
- The 10% restocking fee applies to all returns.
Non-Returnable Items
For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of:
- Food and snack items
- First-aid kits
- Brynje
- A custom ordered product
- Hygienic items (ie Kula cloth)
Order Errors or Damaged Items
If we made a mistake with your order, such as:
- Sending the wrong item, or
- Shipping a damaged product,
we will cover the return shipping costs.
Before Sending Your Return
- Ensure your return has been approved.
- Include a printed copy of your order inside the return package.

We are not liable for lost parcels due to courier error during the return process. We highly suggest you obtain a tracking number before sending any parcels back.
Please note that custom orders for products we do not typically carry are not eligible for refund, no exceptions.
