Geartrade.ca is a Canadian, family-owned and operated small business located in the quaint town of Okotoks, Alberta. We are a retail and e-commerce business specializing in offering some of the best backpacking hard-goods on the market. We pride ourselves on maintaining a high level of customer service and product knowledge to support our customers in preparing for their next big adventure! Geartrade.ca operates as a “shoppable warehouse”. The majority of our sales are online and shipped across Canada, but we do offer in-store shopping by appointment only.
We are currently hiring the following position(s):
Retail Assistant/Order Fulfillment Specialist
Job Description: This is an excellent position for the lover of backpacking! The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors, and the gear knowledge required to successfully adventure in the back country. You should have a willingness to learn, be comfortable taking direction, and also work well independently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, and top-notch customer service. Previous experience in retail, order fulfillment, and Shopify website management would be considered an asset. And if you have hunting knowledge- you have earned yourself some bonus points! Must be able to comfortably lift 30lbs+.
Duties:
- Accurately fulfilling online and in-store pick-up orders (both picking and packing)
- Restocking inventory on shelves and displays
- Assisting in receiving and unpacking deliveries
- Supporting customers in-store with online order pick-ups, browsing appointments, or Custom Outfittings.
- Providing insight into ultralight gear trends and product suggestions
- Light cleaning duties
- Other light duties as required
Estimated Hours/Week: approx 20-30 hours per week. (Saturday availability is a MUST)
